“You don’t even have to know what you want, Julian Michael. I’ll take care of that. Just enjoy that you received another day, and the 10,000 miracles within it.”
-The Universe
p.s. I love you baby cousin Julian!

I’m originally from California, it’s true. I grew up within earshot of the ocean and with a handful of orange poppies in my hand, and these are things I often miss.
But during my seven years in New York, I’ve delighted in a growing romance with all things East Coast. All things quaint, colonial and historical, all things that could possibly be considered New England-y. I’ve ooh and ahhh’d at shutters on cottages, marveled at the changing seasons, indulged in a Philly cheesesteak, popped my polo shirt collar on Martha’s Vineyard and stuffed my face with lobster. I’ve even dropped the word “wicked” a time or two! (Just kidding, I’ve never done that)
But the one thing I’d yet to check off my list was… APPLE PICKING! So the lades (<—not a typo, lady + babe = lade) and I set off one impeccable crisp morning for Blue Jay Orchard in Connecticut to complete this tasty East Coast tradition. I expected gorgeous vistas, I expected a quaint market shop, but I did NOT expect that the apples themselves would be so DELISH! My favorite was, of course, the Granny Smith apple.
And, being the multi-tasking city folk that we were, we decided to bust out a lifestyle photoshoot that same afternoon, since model Kellie (the one and only) was in attendance! Below are some of our photos, a mix of the portfolio-bound pictures and the scrapbook-bound. <3

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.” -George Eliot
This is my good friend Kellie Futch, isn’t she a stunner? Best part is… she’s more beautiful inside than out… <3

My little New England Nico. One part princess, two parts rockstar, Nico has stolen 100% of my heart since the day she was born (a day I totally remember!) Here’s one of many picture-shrine-photo-essays that I dedicate to my best friend’s best girl. <3
